the start of the first semester didn't go as smoothly as i expected. the class i signed up for at the time i least preferred turned out to be the class i tried to avoid at all costs. and nothing would stop me from not getting it so i chose to withdraw and get another core subject instead. the hassles of load revision i experienced only now in my entire college life. i have tried during summer semester yet those classes are relatively easy to change, unlike regular semester which is totally unpredictable and beyond your control. thank God for accommodating, understanding individuals. thank God i was able to finish the procedure before noon, unlike others who had to wait for about a day or two.
the next thing that caught me by surprise was how something of great value disappeared like thin air. i honestly feel for her. i wouldn't be as strong as she is had it happened to me. what a way to start what is supposedly the best year in college. it would certainly contribute to junior year being unforgettable, maybe in some ways even the best. we just don't know right now. but i am sure things will turn out for the better. they always do.
i saw k today, but he was different. he was distant. i didn't want to push it, i wasn't sure anyway. he tried to explain, i acted as if i believed. was i any good at it? i couldn't tell. when i got home i realized it was just a strong tickle, a fleeting moment i possibly exaggerated. i hope it never returns, it just makes me all the more confused.
what i expected still managed to surprise me in more ways than one was the responsibilities i now had in the world outside academics. i knew i would be overwhelmed by the amount of work but you just don't know how to define overwhelming until you really get the feel of it. i am undeniably thankful that i love what i do, that i actually enjoy being busy. yet again, i know the surprises will keep on coming, and i am glad i receive them more on the positive end.
