It's just amazing how God works. It is true that He never gives up on me, no matter how unworthy I've become. I've doubted him, questioned him, insulted him, and yet He is unfailingly forgiving, He becomes more generous than ever. I feel so ashamed, so undeserving. I've always wondered how and why people get so emotional about God dying for us, now I finally understand why.
The adoration chapel built in memory of Johannes Paulus II will always be a special place for me. It has served as more than a sanctuary for me, taking me in when I felt most down, rejoicing with me when I was most ecstatic and ready to charge on another chapter in my life. I've always felt God's presence, but being there is really something else. Now I know where to find tranquility at its finest.

rain
It's been raining a lot lately. It's not those strong, windy, classes-are-cancelled kind, but the more gentle showers, the laze-around-in-bed sort of rain. I've never liked the rainy season. It becomes such a hassle to go around and do errands, to get from one class to another, to take public transportation. And the fact that your body clings much more to the thought of sleep, it becomes all the more a challenge to get through the day. Rain always brings with it a sense of gloom, and makes your thoughts wander quite farther than it would have on a scorching hot summer day.
As the downpour continues to flow through the streets, I painstakingly try to resist the urge to question why I am where I am right now. I hope there's something better tomorrow. There are always reasons, some are obvious, others elusive. I am usually patient because I know I'll find out eventually but for once, I want to know them now.
