creek girl

I spent most of this weekend watching Dawson's Creek all over again. It was a trip down the 90's memory lane - the clothes, the music (Savage Garden!), the VHS tapes, the hairstyles...I could go on and on. This was a show I grew up with, closely following Dawson and Joey and their so-called adventures in Capeside, although I never really understood their issues back then.
Watching them now makes me realize how simple things were before. Compare them to Gossip Girl now, ha! I enjoy checking out the latest fashion trends and getting the lowdown on the NY lifestyle in GG, but I guess I'll always be more of a Creek girl. Movie nights, wholesome fun with friends after school, long walks around town, the simple life. :)

running

What a hectic weekend. I had to fly to CDO early Friday for work, which was very timely since it was Paolo and Sam's graduation on the same day. Krees went back to Manila on the same time, but being her usual gracious self, she had me extend one more day. I would have stayed till Sunday afternoon, but the difference in airfare was just ridiculous. The overnight stay was tiring but fulfilling - twas great to celebrate a special day with my family. Oh, and the food was just glorious!

Took the last flight out yesterday, right in time for dsport's sleepover at Linden. My body still hasn't recovered from Friday's sched, so Dan's infamous D-Mix did it in minutes. Seeing Tin drunk was just hilarious!

Just a few more hours to go, and it's goodbye weekend, hello work-week. I still need another day to recharge, I think weekends should really last for 3 days.

Good night world.

smile some more

*source: postsecret.blogspot.com

Every week gets crazier than the last. There's more work to be done, more things to prove, more responsibilities to live up to. To get through every single day, there's the constant battle with the element of time - how to balance and adjust, how to prioritize and sacrifice. It's not easy, but surprisingly I feel I've had a lighter disposition towards everything lately. Life's way too short to frown and be negative and have all those wrinkles spelling out stressed all over your face.
So thanks for always reminding me to just think positive. Here's a secret smile for you. :)
