You feel the streaks of sunlight through your window as you try to brush away the stray strands of hair from your eyes. It's a Saturday morning and the day's still unplanned, just as it should be. You check the kitchen counter, you realize you've run out of what fills your weekend breakfast . You decide to head to the nearest shop, you've just got to start the weekend right. You grab your staples and the day's paper then head back to your pad, with summer tunes blasting in your ears. It's a lazy Saturday, what are you gonna do? :)

"Three little birds, sat on my window
And they told me I don't need to worry
Summer came like cinnamon...
Maybe sometimes, we got it wrong, but it's alright
The more things seem to change, the more they stay the same..."

perception & motivation
I came across this really interesting article last night - about people getting ahead of the situation most of the time, and feeling totally devastated by their perception of the situation that hasn't even happened yet. I think that's the pessimist in all of us, when we make all these assumptions without even knowing what's really going on. A friend of mine's been sulking the past few days and I think perception's the main culprit. "He hasn't called. Maybe he was just playing around. Maybe he hates me..." Yeah, it could be, but it could be some entirely different thing all together. And we get so depressed over something which we only made up in our minds. Oh the complications of humanity.. ;p
It's been a slow week, been home early for the past 2 days. It's probably my indifference to everything, although in the past I've always chosen frustration over indifference. Yesterday Mom practically slammed the phone in my ear, yet I was just too tired to call back and prove my point. My boss was hinting how I've stepped back the past few weeks, and I was as passive as ever. Earlier today Jap told me my move depended mainly on the "releasing center". Great. Of course I'd want to have a graceful exit, but right now, there's just nothing that's motivating me to do that. The move should be more than enough motivation, but I don't know why it doesn't seem to fill that need. I need to get on a plane, fast.

"At the end of the day, when it comes down to it, all we really want is to be close to somebody. So this thing, where we all keep our distance and pretend not to care about each other, is usually a load of bull. So we pick and choose who we want to remain close to, and once we've chosen those people, we tend to stick close by. No matter how much we hurt them, the people that are still with you at the end of the day - those are the ones worth keeping. And sure, sometimes close can be too close. But sometimes, that invasion of personal space, it can be exactly what you need."

Sundays
I used to dread Sundays spent away from home. Those Sundays were synonymous to loneliness, heightened homesickness, causes for bingeing, impulse buying, oversleeping. Fast forward to a few months, and I'm already loving Sundays. It's the only day of the week when I'm not in a hurry, when I can take my own sweet time to do whatever I want. It's the only day of the week when my mobile's off, and I can just lounge around with a good book, soft tunes & my sweet fix, uninterrupted.
Sunday is my me-time, and I love it. :)

highs and lows
2007 has the lowest number of posts so far, and I'd like to change that. Pretty soon hopefully I'll have more time for these things, among many others.
I came across a blog of an old friend, and wow, we've all grown up - somehow. I haven't seen him in ages, and from his stories he already sounds like he's 30. He's always been like that though, he always sounded so complicated. I hated him for a time, but now I want to talk to him again. Maybe this time things will be different.
The past days have been so unproductive, the heat in the office just drains all the energy out of me. I never realized my eagerness to leave was so obvious until Jap pointed it out. The restlessness is just so hard to contain. It's exciting and scary at the same time, and the anticipation is killing me. Hoping against hope I guess.
The unbeatable trio had dinner last night, and we glorified ourselves with pity once again. What do we really want to do? Maybe moving is just my excuse to do the things I've long been postponing, to do the things I really want to do. Maybe moving is just a necessity to sustain myself, and soon others. Maybe moving will let me live. How ironic can life become?

no brakes
I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster with the brakes broken.
