FINAL finals

Every semester I post my finals week schedule here, just to get a sense of what I really need to accomplish, and somehow to get my buttzilla working. So in true blog tradition, here's the LAST installment of that schedule, my FINAL finals week ever:

February 28, Tuesday - Theo orals
March 1, Wednesday - Philo orals, Elements video, Law Finals; Happy Birthday Kynan! :)
March 2, Thursday - LS defense
March 3, Friday - CTK defense

There's only a week left but the whole idea hasn't really gotten to me yet. The whole idea of moving on to what everybody else would refer to as the real world (so where are we now?) Is that why people don't take us seriously? Coz we still aren't in the real world? I hate it when older people think they know everything, and when they act as if we know nothing coz we're still in school. Grrrr. I don't know where that came from. Haha.

Even if we keep on dwelling about our lasts - last paper, last lecture, last philo class - I still haven't reached the point where every last thing brings tears to my eyes. I recall when my friends told me they never saw me cry about something sad, and they'd only witness my tears flow when I laugh or talk about something hilarious. Hmmm. I can't believe I've never cried with them! Weird huh?

I've heard a lot of bad reviews about Memoirs of a Geisha. It pays to read the bad reviews because you wouldn't expect so much when you watch the movie. I loved it! :) it wasn't all that glam but it wasn't disappointing either. I guess knowing the story and reading it not too long ago really helped because I could still remember the details. Thanks to Elements, I've learned to appreciate film a lot more. I loved the sound montage. :)

lost

I wrote an extremely long entry over the weekend, but when I was about to click publish, my entire post disappeared! I hate it when that happens.

The next few days will be extremely deadly, with all the FINAL requirements nearing their deadlines. What makes things even worse is that our bench will be gone tomorrow. And as Queena said, we'll be ending college just like how we started, benchless! :(

I just can't wait to get past finals week, but I still don't want to start looking for a job! I've got to map out my life, as Ara would say, but there's just an eerie feeling about it. Escaping from responsibilities, fear of uncertainties, or just plain laziness. Maybe I'll get things figured out somehow when all this academic caboodle is over. (But I have to make the CDO IT first! ;p)

I'm so addicted to Lost! I can't help but watch at least one episode before I start doing schoolwork! JJ Abrams is a genius, I've been a fan ever since Alias. :)

I'm so excited for all the plans! The 90's year-end party, teenybopper movie marathon, bikini shopping, and Santayo's trip to CDO! :) woooohoooooooo!!!!! :)

We've got a month to go before the year-end party, but I'm sure everything's going to pull through. We need to get bands who are willing to play songs from the 90's, research on the trends that evolved during those years, get hold of memorabilia from OUR time. This is gonna be fun! A great balance with finals only a few weeks away.

Everyone's been getting all nostalgic lately. More of for the past sem, or even the past year. It's just so much fun going back and remembering all the fun stuff we used to do, the quirky toys we used to own, the BOP boys we used to worship. Thanks to Magic's Nicest of the 90's thing every Saturday, all the memories just keep coming back, creating smiles on our faces as we talk about what transpired during those times when this song was the basis for the ultimate dance craze or that artist who hogged the choices on MTV Select. Chancing upon "10 Things I Hate About You" in the video store earlier this week, seeing an older Andrew Keegan made me want to watch Camp Nowhere all over again. Turns out Queena has a copy of the movie, along with the hard-to-find Now and Then, and even The Babysitters Club, Tom and Huck, The Cure, and the list goes on and on! :) can't wait for the movie marathon! :)

Queena, Shiela, and I went bikini hunting earlier, but we just couldn't find the right fit. I tried one in Bayo the other day, and it fits just right. Dang. Why does Bayo love me so much? :)
It's so much fun and so depressing at the same time to scout for bikinis, because they make me even more excited and yet when I look in the mirror, all my flabs are just too much to handle. Queena says its perfectly fine, but I want to get rid (impossible though) or at least lessen the bulges that linger around. I think I should be hearing Ara's "beekeeeni" more often.

What's keeping me even more excited is Santayo's trip to CDO! :) I don't wanna do acads anymore, I just wanna plan their trip! :) I did their airline reservations yesterday, and I'm continually bugging Mom and Dad about rates of accomodations, Duka, Mapawa, rafting, transportation, food, etc. Cebu Pacific's strategy sure is effective, because we lost the 10 slots we thought were meant for us! Now the trip will last for 6 instead of 5 days, and I'm getting a bit panicky because we might run out of things to do! :o Shiela and Queena says we never will, with all our kwentos and stuff, but I'm worried about the others. Having 10 people in a place quite foreign to them could produce a wide variety of emotions! I just hope everything will go smoothly and we'll all have a good time. I can't wait to be in my hometown with my "home away from home" hehehe! ;p
