meron na at laging meron pa

Just got home about an hour ago from the interview at Pier One for POM. Thanks pala for the contacts, free dinner and ride home Ara! :D
We learned a whole lot from the two people we interviewed (thank God for Ara's contacts!), but we were faced with the reality that the industry we were getting into is not something we could take the easy way out of, unlike the Celebrate Celebrations business plan we managed to pull off last semester. This entails a LOT of work, a LOT of sleepless nights i'm sure. I remember someone said before that we shouldn't be rejoicing when we were given all the free cuts and light load before Christmas break, coz everything's just gonna pile up come January, and will go all the way till March. With the way things are right now, I totally agree. Marketing midterms on Saturday, POM long test on Monday, COM talent presentation on Tuesday...The stress is starting to make its way back to my system.

On our way back home from Pier, when Neth asked Ara how she answered her philo orals earlier, everyone suddenly went on philo mode. It's amazing and alarming at the same time how philo has taught us to be so analytical, even skeptical, about almost everything. Learning about the truth, meron, making your presence felt in this world, asking real questions, treading your own landas, relating to the neighbor, true dialogue with the other...Gah! Often makes the simple things complicated, but once you think about it, they do make sense after all. Even in the mere encounters with a security guard, with Ate Alma in Colayco, or with the manangs at FFT, the teachings of philo work between us. More so with relationships - with friends, family...What you never saw before you will start to notice now, and marvel at how these loaded one-liners written centuries ago still have such an immense impact right now.
The things philo can do to you. And they say we haven't gotten to the heavier part. Wow.
